Crafting professions

Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking and Tailoring cover different crafting goals. Each profession develops its own skill, recipes and materials. A focused boost helps your character reach a chosen skill milestone. Higher skill opens the way to eligible recipes, from useful consumables to crafted equipment.

Gathering professions

Herbalism, Mining and Skinning help characters collect materials found during play. They support different crafting paths: herbs feed Alchemy, ore and stone support smithing and engineering, and leather supports Leatherworking. Gathering skill progress can make it easier to collect materials as your character travels through higher-level areas.

Secondary skills

Cooking, Fishing and First Aid offer separate paths alongside a character’s primary professions. Cooking turns ingredients into food, Fishing provides catches from suitable waters, and First Aid develops bandage crafting. These skills support everyday adventuring and give your character useful ways to work with the supplies found along the journey.

Choose a profession goal

Profession progress depends on your character’s current skill and the target you want to reach. The Professions service brings all twelve professions together, while focused offers such as Alchemy and Blacksmithing cover a single craft. Lockpicking is a Rogue class skill and is separate from the twelve general professions.

Characters can learn two primary professions and all three secondary professions. A crafting path can pair with a gathering skill that supplies its materials, while another character may prefer a different combination. Choose a skill goal that suits the profession already trained on your character and the items or activities you want to pursue.
